Director General of National Taskforce to Combat Illegal Importation of Small Arms, Ammunitions, Light Weapons, Chemical Weapons and Pipelines Vandalisms, NATFORCE, Chief.Osita Okereke, OON, has said that the detained human Rights activist and Publisher, Omoyele Sowore, is a political jobber looking for Ministerial appointment.
Chief Okereke told reporters in his Abuja Office, that Sowore has been tough with the government of the day, and that Nigerians has known the materials he is made of, hence their refusal to cast their vote for him and his political party, during the last presidential election.
“He was looking for a political appointment, he thought President Buhari would appoint him as Minister of Information, and so when that failed, he now contemplated on how to attract unnecessary attention from the government, by calling for a nationwide #RevolutionNow protest’.
NATFORCE DG explained further allegd that Sowore has been using his medium, Sahara reporters to harass political opponents hence the medium’s lac”While did he not contemplate the #RevolutioNow protest all this while is because, he thought after the elections, the APC government will offer him political appointment and since that was not coming, he has decided to join forces with the opposition parties, to distababilize relative peace we are enjoying now”.
Commenting on Sahara media platform, Okereke said the medium lack credibility, noting that most opposition politicians were using such to run down the government in power in the recent past.
